12個NLP的基本前題假設：

1. 地圖不等於地域
The Map is not the Territory

2. 尊重別人的內心世界
Respect other people's model of the world

3. 沒有失敗，只有回應訊息
There is no failure, only feedback

4. 凡事必有至少三個解決方法
There are at least three solution to every situation

5. 別人做得到，我也做得到
If it is possible in the world, it is possible for me

6. 每個人在既有的資源下，每刻已作出最佳選擇
People make the best choice they perceive available at the time

7. 每人都已經具備使自己成功快樂的資源
Every one already possesses all the resources needed

8. 溝通的意義取決於對方的回應
The meaning of communication is the response one gets

9. 意之所在，能量隨來
Energy flows where attention goes

10. 在任何一個組合裡，最靈活的人最能影響大局
In any system, the most flexible person has the control

11. 每個行為背後都有其正面意向
Every behaviour has a positive intention

12. 重覆舊有的做法，只會得到舊的結果
Repeating the same behavior will repeat the same result
